The title compound was prepared with the Mitsunobu reaction using the method of Example 3(c) starting from 2-chloro-4-(1H-pyrazol-5-yl)-benzonitrile (2.00 g, 9.82 mmol) and (R)-tert-butyl 1-hydroxypropan-2-ylcarbamate (1.893 g, 10.80 mmol). After Boc removal and workups 0.434 g (17%) of the title compound was obtained. 1H-NMR (400 MHz; d6-DMSO): δ 0.97 (d, 3H), 2.96 (m, 2H), 4.15 (m, 2H), 6.98 (d, 1H), 7.86 (d, 1H), 7.92-8.00 (m, 2H), 8.11 (d, 1H).
