This compound was synthesized from 6-bromonicotinonitrile and 1-tert-butyl 3-methyl piperazine-1,3-dicarboxylate as described for example 43 step 1 (200 mg, yield 36%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ 8.42 (d, J=2.3 Hz, 1H), 7.72-7.69 (dd, J=9.0 Hz, 2.3 Hz, 1H), 6.68 (d, J=9.0 Hz, 1H), 5.35 (m, 1H), 4.67-4.64 (d, J=13.6 Hz, 1H), 4.19 (m, 1H), 3.81-3.79 (d, J=9.8 Hz, 1H), 3.73 (s, 3H), 3.53-3.48 (m, 1H), 3.27-3.23 (m, 1H), 3.06 (m, 1H), 1.47 (s, 9H).
