A solution of NaNO2 (42.5 mg, 0.62 mmol) in H2O (0.5 mL) was added dropwise to a solution of 6-chloro-N2-(thiazolo[4,5-c]pyridin-2-ylmethyl)pyridine-2,3-diamine (90 mg, 0.31 mmol) in AcOH (1 mL) and H2O (1 mL) at 0° C. The reaction solution was stirred at 0° C. for 1 h, then basified with 30% aqueous NaOH to pH ˜9. The resulting precipitate was collected by filtration to afford the title compound. MS (m/z): 303 (M+1)+.
