Procedure

To a solution of 6-bromo-1H-indazol-3-amine (2.1 g, 10.0 mmol) in dioxane (100 mL) and sodium carbonate (1N, 40 mL) were added 3-(ethoxycarbonyl)phenylboronic acid (1.94 g, 10.0 mmol) and Pd(dppf)Cl2 (816 mg, 1.0 mmol). After the reaction was stirred at 100° C. for 4 hours and cooled to room temperature, the mixture was filtered through Celite and washed by ethyl acetate. The combined organic solution was washed by brine, dried with sodium sulfate and concentrated in vacuo. The crude residue was purified by flash chromatography with 50:1 (v/v) methylene chloride-methanol to afford the title product (1.46 g), MS m/z: 282.11 (M+1).
