The title compound was prepared according to described procedure using 2-bromo-1-[3-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl]ethanone (1.7 g, 6.00 mmol) and acetyl guanidine (0.91 g, 9.01 mmol)) in acetonitrile (17 ml) to obtain 460 g of the product as a yellow solid; 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) δ 2.07 (s, 3H), 5.50 (s, 1H), 7.10-7.15 (m, 1H), 7.39 (t, J=7.8, 1H), 7.47-7.64 (m, 3H), 7.92 (s, 1H).
