Procedure
A solution of methyl 5-(6-chloro-4-(isopropylamino)pyridin-3-yl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-carboxylate (66) (150 mg, 0.51 mmol) in morpholine (1 mL) and MeOH (1 mL) was heated at 80° C. for 2 h. The reaction mass was concentrated under reduced pressure. The crude material obtained was triturated with diethyl ether and filtered to get the desired compound, (5-(6-chloro-4-(isopropylamino)pyridin-3-yl)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)(morpholino)methanone. LC/MS: Acquity BEH C18 2.1×50 mm, 1.8 micron; Solvent A=0.1% TFA in water; Solvent B=0.1% TFA in ACN; gradient 0-100% B over 2 min; retention time: 0.88 min; LCMS (ES-API), m/z 352.7 (M+H).
