To a solution of 4-(4-fluoro-2-methylphenyl)-N-methylpyridin-3-amine (60 mg, 0.28 mmol, example 23, intermediate a) and DIPEA (97 μL, 0.56 mmol) was added 3,5-dichlorobenzoyl chloride (87 mg, 0.42 mmol, CAS RN 2905-62-6) in CH2Cl2 (2 mL). After stirring for 16 hours, the reaction mixture was loaded directly onto a silica gel column and elution with EtOAc gave the title compound (43 mg, 40%). MS (ESI): m/z=388.9 [M+H]+.
