Procedure
A solution of 4-acetamidobenzoic acid (100 mg, 0.56 mmol), HATU (234 mg, 0.62 mmol) and TEA (63 mg, 0.62 mmol) in DCM (10 mL) was stirred at 22° C. for 10 min. 1-amino-3-(3,4-dihydroisoquinolin-2(1H)-yl)propan-2-ol (116 mg, 0.56 mmol) was then added and the solution was stirred at 22° C. for another 3 h. The reaction mixture was then diluted with water and extracted with DCM. The organic layers were combined and dried over anhydrous Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated and the residue was purified by prep-HPLC to give the title compound (48.5 mg, Yield 24%). 1H NMR (CD3OD, 400 MHz): δ 7.77-7.72 (m, 2H), 7.63-7.57 (m, 2H), 7.17-7.08 (m, 3H), 7.04 (d, J=7.0 Hz, 1H), 4.12 (t, J=6.0 Hz, 1H), 3.75 (s, 2H), 3.58-3.46 (m, 2H), 2.92-2.85 (m, 4H), 2.74-2.63 (m, 2H), 2.16 (s, 3H). LCMS (m/z): 368.1 (M+1).
