To a solution of tert-butyl 3-(3-(methoxycarbonyl)phenyl)-2,5-dihydro-1H-pyrrole-1-carboxylate (213 mg, 0.7 mmol) in MeOH (10 mL) was added Pd/C (20 mg). The mixture was stirred for 30 min at 30° C. under H2 atmosphere. The mixture was filtered and the filtrate was concentrated to give the title compound which was used in next step without further purification (210 mg, Yield 98.1%). 1H NMR (CDCl3, 400 MHz): δ 7.88-7.97 (m, 2H), 7.36-7.48 (m, 2H), 3.92 (s, 3H), 3.77-3.90 (m, 1H), 3.53-3.72 (m, 1H), 3.25-3.47 (m, 3H), 2.29 (d, J=5.27 Hz, 1H), 2.01 (quin, J=10.2 Hz, 1H), 1.42-1.55 (m, 10H).
