Reaction Steps

200 mg of intermediate x (trans)-2-[4-(benzyloxy)phenyl]cyclopropanamine were dissolved in pyridine (5 mL) and tertbutyl carbonate (200 mg) was then added. The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 12 h, the poured into ice-water. The desired compound was filtered and dried. 1H-NMR (MeOH, 250 MHz, δ): 7.45-7.27 (m, 5H, ArH); 6.96 (d, 8.5 Hz, 2H, ArH); 6.86 (d, J=8.5 Hz, 2H, ArH); 5.03 (s, 2H, CH2); 2.41-2.34 (m, 1H, CH); 1.86-1.76 (m, 10H, CH); 0.98-0.85 (m, 2H, CH2).
