To a solution of 3,5-Diamino-6-chloro-pyrazine-2-carboxylic acid (2-methylamino-ethyl)-amide (Intermediate E) (0.97 g, 2.7 mmol) and [4-(3-Bromo-propyl)-phenoxy]-acetic acid methyl ester (Intermediate Q) (2.33 g, 8.12 mmol) in acetone (30 mL) is added sodium carbonate (0.86 g, 8.12 mmol), and the reaction is heated at reflux for 4 days. After this time, the reaction is allowed to cool to RT, filtered, and concentrated in vacuo. The residue is purified by reverse phase chromatography (Isolute™ C18, 0-100% acetonitrile in water with 0.1% TFA) to yield {4-[3-({2-[(3,5-Diamino-6-chloro-pyrazine-2-carbonyl)-amino]-ethyl}-methyl-amino)-propyl]-phenoxy}-acetic acid methyl ester.
