To a slurry of the product of Example 60A (3.6 g, 8.1 mmol) in dichloromethane (100 mL) and pyridine (1.3 g, 16.2 mmol) was added 2,2,2-Trichloroethyl chloroformate (2.16 g, 10.2 mmol). The solution was stirred for 16 hours, washed with water, brine, dried over sodium sulfate and concentrated under vacuum. The resulting residue was triturated in 9:1 hexane/ethyl acetate to give the title compound as an orange powder (4.15 g, 83%).
