Reaction Steps

Methyl (2S,4S)-1-BOC-4-{[3-(acetoxy)-2,2-dimethylpropanoyl](4,4-dimethylcyclohexyl)amino}pyrrolidine-2-carboxylate (0.88 g, 1.77 mmol) obtained in Step A was dissolved in MeOH (8 mL) and water (1.6 mL). NaOH (213 mg, 5.31 mmol) was added thereto. The reaction solution was stirred for 12 hours. After the reaction was completed, the reaction solution was concentrated in vacuo, acidified with 1N HCl and extracted with EtOAc. The extracted organic solution was washed with 1N HCl solution, dried over MgSO4 and concentrated in vacuo to give the title compound (0.74 g, 95%).
