Reaction Steps
To [3-(4-bromo-2-bromomethyl-phenoxy)-4-methoxy-phenyl]-acetic acid ethyl ester and 2-propanethiol in 1,4-dioxane was added sodium hydride (60% in mineral oil), and the reaction was stirred for 1 hour at room temperature. After work-up, the crude material was purified by silica gel chromatography (0-20% EtOAc in hexanes) to give the title compound.
