A solution of 2-(5-{[1-(3,5-Difluoro-phenyl)-4-methyl-pentyl]-methyl-amino}-4′-trifluoromethyl-biphenyl-3-yl)-4-methyl-pentanoic acid methyl ester, compound 29e, (0.25 g, 0.4 mmol), MeI (0.3 ml, 4 mmol), Cs2CO3 (0.72 g) and acetonitrile in a sealed reaction tube was heated to 80° C. overnight. The solvent was removed by vacuum and the crude was purified by preparative TLC to give the title compound (50% yield). Calcd. MW 575.67 Found MH+ 576.3.
