N-(6-Amino-2,4-dioxo-1,3-dipropyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-pyrimidin-5-yl)-4-[1-(4-fluoro-phenyl)-5-oxo-pyrrolidin-3-ylmethoxy]-benzamide obtained in step 3 (0.90 g, 0.167 mmol) was dissolved in MeOH (4 mL) and 10% NaOH (0.020 g, 0.502 mmol) and stirred at 80° C. for 7 h. MeOH was distilled off and the residue was taken up in H2O (2 mL), acidified with 2NHC1 to pH 4-5. The precipitate was filtered, washed with water and methanol to provide the title compound as white solid (0.072 g, 83%).
