Reaction Steps

To a solution of 3-[3-(6-isopropyl-quinolin-8-yl)-phenyl]-2-pyridin-4-yl-acrylonitrile from Step 1 (75 mg, 0.3 mmol) in CH2Cl2/MeOH (1:1, 2 mL) was added MMPP (148 mg, 0.3 mmol). The resulting reaction mixture was stirred 18 h at 21° C., then diluted with a sodium bicarbonate solution and ethyl acetate. The organic extracts were washed (H2O, brine), dried (MgSO4), filtered and concentrated. Purification by flash chromatography (eluting with EtOH/ethyl acetate, 10:90) provided the title compounds.
