Trans-1-(4-(4-methylpiperazino)cyclohexyl)-3-(4-phenoxyphenyl)-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidin-4-amine (0.47 g, 0.972 mmol) was dissolved in 140 ml of hot ethanol and maleic acid(0.40 g, 2.47 mmol) in 10 ml of hot ethanol was added. After 2 hours at room temperature, the solid was filtered and then dried to give 0.62 g of 1-(trans-4-(4-methylpiperazino)cyclohexyl)-3-(4-phenoxyphenyl)-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidin-4-amine, dimaleate salt. 1H NMR (DMSO) 1.58(m, 2H), 2.04(m, 6), 2.67(m, 3H), 2.79(vbm, 9H), 4.70(m, 1H), 7.41 (s, 4H), 7.17(m, 5H), 7.44(m, 2H), 7.66(d, J=8.63 Hz, 2H), 8.24(s, 1H); LC/MS (MH+=484).
