Reaction Steps

6-(2′-Nitro-biphenyl-4-yloxymethyl)-pyridine-2-carboxylic acid was prepared using general procedure B from from 4-hydroxy-2′-nitrobiphenyl (available from TCI America, Portland, Oreg.) and 6-bromomethyl-pyridine-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester (Intermediate 2). Yield: 62 mg. Mass spectrum (ES) MH+=351.
