Prepared from 40 (1.16 g, 4.0 mmol) and Boc-Pro-OH according to the procedure used to prepare 100 (Scheme XVIII) to afford 1.53 g (94% yield) of the title compound as a white solid. 1H-NMR (500 MHz, CDCl3): δ 1.61 (br, 9H), 1.88 (br, 2H), 2.00-2.50 (m, 3H), 2.80-3.10 (m, H), 3.20-3.60 (m, 2H), 4.05-4.45 (m, 1.5H), 4.58-4.80 (m, 1.5H), 4.83-4.98 (m, H), 5.43-5.53 (m, H), 7.26-7.45 (m, 5H), 7.60-7.80 (d, H); Analytical HPLC: 11.32 min; LC-MS: m/e=405 (M+H+).
