This compound was prepared from 4-chloro-6-fluoro-2-oxo-1,2-dihydro-[1,8]-naphthyridine-3-carboxylic acid ethyl ester (78) and 2-furoyl piperazine according to general procedure E. Yield 3.11 g (74%), MP 207° C.; 1H-NMR (DMSO-d6): δ 1.27 (t, J=6.8 Hz, 3H), 3.11 (m, 4H), 3.90 (m, 4H), 4.29 (q, J=6.8 Hz, 2H), 6.65 (dd, J=2.0, 3.6, Hz, 1H), 7.04 (d, J=3.6 Hz, 1H), 7.87 (d, J=1.6 Hz, 1H), 8.06 (dd, J=2.8, 8.0 Hz, 1H), 8.63 (d, J=2.8 Hz, 1H) 12.40 (s, 1H); EIMS: 415 (M+1).
