Reaction Steps
The compound (16.9 g, 40.0 mmol) synthesized in Example 6 (6c) was dissolved in methylene chloride (150 mL) and triethylamine (22 mL, 0.16 mol), benzoyl chloride (14 mL, 0.12 mol) and 4-dimethylaminopyridine (489 mg, 4.00 mmol) were added thereto, followed by stirring of the mixture at room temperature for 18 hours. After water (80 mL) was added to the reaction mixture and the mixture was extracted with methylene chloride (100 mL), the organic layer was washed with saturated brine (50 mL) and dried with anhydrous sodium sulfate, followed by distilling off of the solvent under reduced pressure. The residue was purified using silica gel flash column chromatography (hexane:ethyl acetate, 4:1-3:1, V/V) to obtain the desired title compound (20.8 g, yield 99%) as a yellow oil.
