To a solution of {3-[(2-chloro-3-trifluoromethyl-benzyl)-(2,2-diphenyl-ethyl-amino)]-propoxy}-4-methoxy-phenyl carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (0.05 g, 0.075 mmol) and CH2Cl2 (2 mL), TFA (0.20 mL, 1.2 mmol) was added and the reaction mixture was stirred for 1 h. The mixture was then poured into NaHCO3, extracted with CH2Cl2, dried over Na2SO4, filtered, and concentrated to yield the product as a yellow oil (0.03 g, 70%): MS(ES) m/e 569.4 [M+H]+.
