1-n-Butylbiguanide hydrochloride (product of Wako Pure Chemical Industries) was neutralized with an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide to give 1-n-butylbiguanide. A 50% methanol solution of this 1-n-butylbiguanide was prepared and use.
