Reaction Steps
A solution of sulfonyl chloride 1b (1.0 equivalents), 2-[4-(1,3-Dithiolan-2-yl)phenyl]-1,3-thiazole-4-carbohydrazide (1.1 equivalents), and pyridine (1.2-2 equivalents) in CHCl3 is heated to reflux for 2 h. Filtration over SiO2 (CH3CN) and evaporation yielded 80% of the desired sulfonyl hydrazide 1.
