Reaction Steps

To a stirred solution of [(3RS,4SR)-1-(4-Methanesulfonyl-piperazine-1-carbonyl)-4-phenyl-pyrrolidin-3-yl]-methyl-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (640 mg, 1.37 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (10 ml) was added TFA (2 ml). The reaction mixture was stirred at RT for 2 hours, aqueous NaHCO3 was added until pH=8 and the product was extracted with CH2Cl2. The combined organic phase were dried over Na2SO4. Concentration under vacuo gave 500 mg (99%) of the title product as a white solid. ES-MS m/e: 367.1 (M+H+).
