Reaction Steps
3, 3:17,17-Bis(ethylendioxy)-7(E)-hydroxyiminoandrostane was prepared in quantitative yield from 3,3:17,17-bis(ethylendioxy)androstane-7-one (2.20 g) by the procedure described above for the preparation of 3, 3:17,17-bis(ethylendioxy)-6(E)-hydroxyiminoandrostane (Prepn. 1). 1H-NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6, ppm from TMS): δ 10.17 (s, 1H), 3.88-3.71 (m, 8H), 2.89 (bb, 1H), 2.23-2.05 (m, 2H), 1.89-0.97 (m, 16H), 0.90 (s, 3H), 0.80 (m, 1H), 0.77 (s, 3H).
