To a vial was added 1-(5-bromo-pyridin-3-yl)-4-methyl-piperazine (47 mg, 0.13 mmol), Pd(PPh3)4 (34 mg), 2-thienyltributylstannane (67 mg, 0.15 mmol) and dioxane (1 mL). The resulting mixture was heated at 100° C. for 24 hrs. The resulting mixture was extracted with EtOAc. The organic layer was dried and concentrated, and the residue was purified by preparative TLC (hexanes/EtOAc) to yield the title compound as a solid.
