Use a method similar to the General Procedure 4-3, using 7-chloro-6-hydroxy-3-(2,2,2-trifluoroacetyl)-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-1H-benzo[d]azepine (277 mg, 0.94 mmol) and N-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)ethanolamine (244 mg, 1.51 mmol) to give, after chromatography on silica gel eluting with hexane/EtOAc (1:0 and 3:1), the desired intermediate (392 mg, 95%). MS (ES+) m/z: 337 (M+H−Boc)+.
