Use a method similar to the General Procedure 5-2 to couple 7-chloro-3-(2,2,2-trifluoroacetyl)-6-trifluoromethanesulfonyloxy-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-1H-benzo[d]azepine (0.2 g, 0.47 mmol) with 1-phenyl-cyclopropylamine (0.2 g, 1.41 mmol) using tris(dibenzylideneacetone)dipalladium(0) (43.0 mg, 0.05 mmol), BINAP (0.1 g, 0.15 mmol) and cesium carbonate (0.3 g, 0.97 mmol) at 90° C. for 17 h to obtain 7-chloro-6-(1-phenyl-cyclopropylamino)-3-(2,2,2-trifluoroacetyl)-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-1H-benzo[d]azepine as a colorless oil.
