The title compound was prepared in accordance with the general method described above using 3-(2-aminopropyl)-2-thioxo-1,2,3,7-tetrahydro-6H-purin-6-one (0.18 g, 0.54 mmol, obtained from Example 29(c)) and 1-[2-(2-methoxyphenoxy)ethyl]-1H-pyrrole-2-carbaldehyde (125.8 mg; 0.513 mmol), which after preparative HPLC generated 0.17 g of the product. Further purification was accomplished with a portion of this material (0.76 g) by trituration with water, which after drying in vacuo, generated 30.0 mg (29% yield) of the title compound.
