Reaction Steps

After then dissolving 50 mg of the 3-benzyloxycarbonyl-8-(2-fluorophenyl)-7-oxo-3-azabicyclo[4.3.0]nonane in 30 ml of methanol, 100 mg of 10% palladium-carbon was added and the mixture was stirred for 4 days at room temperature under a hydrogen atmosphere (1 atm). The reaction mixture was filtered and the filtrate was distilled off under reduced pressure to obtain 62 mg of 8-(2-fluorophenyl)-7-oxo-3-azabicyclo[4.3.0]nonane.
