Procedure
To a solution of compound 4.5 (68.0 mg, 0.1 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (10 mL) at −78° C. was added 1.0 M solution of BCl3 in CH2Cl2 (1.07 mmol) dropwise via syringe. The mixture was stirred at −78° C. for 1.5 h, then for 3 hr at −35° C. to −40° C. The reaction was quenched by adding MeOH (6.0 mL), the solvents were evaporated and the resulting residue was purified by flash column chromatography over silica gel using 6-7% MeOH in CH2Cl2 as eluent to give title compound 4.6 (31.8 mg) as a white foam.
