1-{4′-[3-(1-Hydroxy-4-phenyl-butyl)-pyridin-2-yl]-biphenyl-4-yl}-cyclopropanecarboxylic acid ethyl ester (0.258 g, 0.52 mmol) was dissolved in THF (2 mL) and EtOH (1 mL). NaOH (3N aq., 1.1 eq.) was added and the reaction stirred at 45° C. overnight. The reaction was concentrated to dryness, diluted with H20, washed with EtOAc, acidified and extracted with EtOAc. The solution was dried and concentrated to yield the title compound.
