This amine was dissolved in THF (2.000 mL) and DCM (2.000 mL), then TEA (0.030 mL, 0.214 mmol) was added followed by BOC2O (0.033 mL, 0.143 mmol). After stirring at room temperature for 2 h, LC-MS indicated completion, it was concentrated and purification via flash chromatography (0-10% MeOH in DCM, 12 g) gave tert-butyl 4-(3-amino-2-chloro-5-cyanophenyl)-3-oxopiperazine-1-carboxylate (20 mg) as an off-white solid.
