Procedure

This example illustrates synthesis of CF3SO2NHSO2F by the reaction of trifluoromethane sulfonamide (CF3SO2NH2), thionyl chloride (SOCl2), chlorosulfonic acid (ClSO3H) to produce CF3SO2NHSO2Cl intermediate, which is then fluorinated with anhydrous hydrogen fluoride (HF) to produce CF3SO2NHSO2F.
