Into a glass vial, the product from step (a) (0.45 mmol) dissolved in 4N HO/dioxane (2 ml) was placed. The reaction mixture was stirred at 60° C. for 1 h. The mixture was cooled to room temperature and the solvent was evaporated in vacuo to give the crude product as a brown solid. The residue was purified by silica-gel chromatography (gradient elution: 0 to 40% EtOAc in hexane) to give the sub-titled compound as a white solid (80 mg). MS: ESI (positive): 350, 352 (M+1).
