Reaction Steps

To a solution of compound 35 (12.2 mmol) in anhydrous EtOH (50 mL) was added Pd/C 10% (20% w/w). The vessel was flushed with nitrogen and H2 was added. The reaction mixture was stirred under hydrogen atmosphere for 16 hrs. The catalyst was filtered off and washed several times with EtOH. The filtrate was concentrated in vacuo to yield compound 36 as a colourless oil in a quantitative yield.
