Compound 8 (401 mg, 661 μmol) was dissolved in freshly distilled THF (5 mL) under nitrogen atmosphere and succinic anhydride (165 mg, 1.65 mmol) was added. After stirring 20 h at 20° C., the solvent was removed under reduced pressure and dissolved in n-hexane. The white precipitate was removed by filtration and the filtrate evaporated to dryness. The residue was purified over silica gel by dichloromethane/methanol (9/1) to give 461 mg (661 μmol, 99% yield) of a white solid.
