A solution of 4-[[2-(5-bromo-2-fluorophenyl)pteridin-4-yl]amino]nicotinic acid methyl ester 107 (200 mg, 0.439 mmol) and NaOH (44 mg, 1.10 mmol) in THF/MeOH/H2O (3:2:1, 5 mL), was stirred at room temperature for 3 h. The solvent was evaporated, and the residue dissolved in H2O, neutralized with AcOH, filtered off, and successively washed with H2O, MeOH and Ether to give 160 mg of the title product 16 as a yellow powder (LCMS analysis).
