To a solution of methyl 4-azido-5-(4-methoxybenzylthio)-3-fluoro-2-((2-fluorophenyl)amino)benzoate (10.38 g, 22.7 mmol) in MeOH (100 mL) was added and 10% palladium on carbon (1.55 g) under nitrogen atmosphere. Then the nitrogen atmosphere was completely changed to hydrogen atmosphere. The mixture was stirred at ambient temperature for 6 h. After the insoluble matter was filtered off, the solvent was evaporated in vacuo to give the desired product (9.79 g, 100% yield). 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3): δ 9.08 (s, 1H), 7.78 (s, 1H), 6.93-7.28 (m, 8H), 4.65 (s, 2H), 4.00 (s, 2H), 3.89 (s, 3H), 3.75 (s, 3H).
