tert-Butyl 5-methyl-7-(2-oxo-4-(6-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-3-yl)pyridin-1(2H)-yl)-3,4-dihydro-1H-pyrido[4,3-b]indole-2(5H)-carboxylate (165 mg, 0.315 mmol) was deprotected and converted to the dihydrochloride salt according to the procedure of Example 30 (steps e and g) to provide the title compound (40 mg, 26%) as a yellow solid 1H NMR (300 MHz, CD3OD) δ 9.10 (d, J=2.0 Hz, 1H), 8.41 (dd, J=8.2, 1.7 Hz, 1H), 7.98 (d, J=8.2 Hz, 1H), 7.85 (d, J=7.2 Hz, 1H), 7.61 (d, J=8.2 Hz, 1H), 7.57 (d, J=1.6 Hz, 1H), 7.14 (dd, J=8.3, 1.9 Hz, 1H), 7.02 (d, J=1.6 Hz, 1H), 6.89 (dd, J=7.1, 2.0 Hz, 1H), 4.49 (s, 2H), 3.76 (s, 3H), 3.68 (t, J=6.2 Hz, 2H), 3.22 (t, J=6.2 Hz, 2H); ESI MS m/z 425 [M+H]+; HPLC (Method B)>99% (AUC), tR=12.3 min.
