To a solution of 3-(cyclopropyl(2,6-dichloropyrimidin-4-yl)amino)propan-1-ol (5.0 g, 19.07 mmol) in 1,4-dioxane (50 mL) was added a solution of NaOH (7.63 g, 191 mmol) in water (50 mL) at r.t, stirred for 4 h at 100° C. The organic solvent was removed under reduce vacuum and the PH was adjusted to 8 with aq. HCl (12 N). Purification via reverse C-18 column afforded the title compound (2.1 g) as a white solid.
