Reaction Steps

To a solution of 1-(6-amino-5-nitropyridin-2-yl)-5,5-difluoro-N,N-dimethylpiperidine-3-carboxamide (400 mg, 1.21 mmol) in ethanol (50 mL) was added 10% palladium-on-carbon (300 mg). After 2 h under hydrogen, the mixture was filtered through Celite which was then washed with ethanol to afford 1-(5,6-diaminopyridin-2-yl)-5,5-difluoro-N,N-dimethylpiperidine-3-carboxamide as a filtrate that was directly used for the next step.
