Reaction Steps

To a stirred solution of the ester from Example 248, Step E (10 mg, 0.013 mmol) in THF (1.0 mL) was added sodium hydroxide (404 μL, 0.404 mmol, 1M aqueous solution). The reaction was stirred at rt for 24 hours. After this time the reaction was partitioned between EtOAc (30 mL) and 1.0 M HCl (5 mL). The separated organic layer was dried over MgSO4, filtered and evaporated in vacuo to give the title compound as a single diastereomer. Mass Spectrum (ESI) m/z=728.2 (M+1).
