Reaction Steps
The title compound was prepared (1.03 g, 74%, mp 209°-212° C.) in a manner analogous to the preparation of 1-[3-(benzo[b]thien-3-yl)propyl]-4-(3-methoxy-2-pyridinyl)-2-methylpiperazine hydrochloride (Example 41) by the reaction of 3-benzo[b]thienepropanol tosylate with 1-(5-methoxy-4-pyrimidinyl)piperazine.
