The product from Example 11, 15, is dissolved in ethanol (500 mL) and to this added 2M sodium hydroxide (50 mL) and the reaction stirred for 12 hours. The reaction is neutralized with 2M HC1 solution (50 mL) and evaporated to a small volume. This residue is diluted with water (250 mL) and extracted with dichloromethane (4×100 mL), dried, filtered, and evaporated to give a solid.
