A solution of the product of Step A (1.5 g, 6.9 mmol) in DMF (10 ml) was treated by the procedure described for Example 1, Step B to give an oil (1.3 g, 62%): 1H NMR (CDCl3) δ 8.09 (d, J=0.8 Hz, 1H), 7.99 (s, 1H), 7.90 (s, 1H), 7.58 (d, J=8.6 Hz, 1H), 7.01 and 6.96 (dd, J=2.0 and 8.6 Hz, 1H), 4.64 (s, 2H), 2.15 (s, 3H), 1.56 (s, 3H) 1.27 (s, 6H); MS(ES) m/z 275 (M+).
