The title compound was prepared according to the procedure described in step 3 of Example 1 from 4,5-diphenylimidazole and 4-{2-[({[(4-Methylphenyl)sulfonyl]amino}carbonyl)oxy]ethyl}phenylboronic acid: MS (ESI) m/z 538 [M+H]+, 536 [M−H]−, 1H-NMR (CDCl3) δ 2.43 (3H, s), 2.84 (2H, t, J=6.6 Hz), 4.22-4.28 (2H, m), 6.86-6.95 (2H, m), 7.03-7.08 (4H, m), 7.21-7.52 (10H, m), 7.73 (1H, s), 7.85-7.90 (2H, m).
