To a stirring solution of 1-{4-[(acetylamino)sulfonyl]phenyl}-8-[(2-chlorobenzoyl)amino]-4,5-dihydro-1H-benzo[g]indazole-3-carboxamide (563 mg, 1 mmol) in DMF (20 mL) was added NaH2 (40 mg, 1 mmol). The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 h. To the mixture was added a solution of Iodomethane (170.3 mg, 1.2 mmol) in DMF (1 mL). The solution was stirred at room temperature for 4 h and concentrated. It was purified by HPLC to give a solid of the desired compound 1-(4-{[acetyl(methyl)amino]sulfonyl}phenyl)-8-[(2-chlorobenzoyl)amino]-4,5-dihydro-1H-benzo[g]indazole-3-carboxamide (155 mg, 27%.)
